A: Dr. Debé often recommends a bioimpedance analysis on the first visit. This is a noninvasive test that measures body fat, muscle, water, cellular health, and more. The test is most accurate if the following are done: alcohol is avoided for 24 hours, no food for 4 hours, no exercise for 12 hours, and no caffeine on the day of the test. Drink at least one quart of water one hour before the test. Do not wear pantyhose (electrodes are placed on the foot and hand). Do your best to follow these recommendations but please don’t stress if you don’t get it perfect.

A: If you have any blood test results or medical records you think could be useful, please bring a copy. Please bring any nutritional supplement bottles you take. Dr. Debé needs to see the labels.
